Since an NFT is the certificate of ownership, nearly anything can be an NFT! On IMVU, you can buy NFT clothing, hair, and some accessories, but over time you’ll be able to buy poses, furniture, and more! Outside of IMVU, other types of NFTs may include things like music, in-game land, photos, videos, and more.
Minting your own NFTs on IMVU will come at a later date, but you will be able to do so the same way you create any item(s) on IMVU. You can find details on the creation process and how to get started as an IMVU Creator at https://create.imvu.com/
Our NFT Marketplace has already launched! Creators will be able to make and sell their own NFTs soon.
Our NFTs run using the Immutable X platform, which is completely carbon neutral and has no associated gas prices. Immutable X offsets the carbon footprint with certified climate conscious partners, Trace and Cool Effect. Immutable X uses a rollup technology to compress the amount of information required to trade or create an NFT secured by Ethereum, via batched zero-knowledge proofs.
